Certificate
Applicants to certificate programs should follow the application guidelines for undergraduate or graduate applicants.
Nondegree-seeking or Auditing
Enrollment for nondegree-seeking or auditing students is on a space-available basis for individuals who, while not wishing to pursue a degree, would like to enroll in college courses. Nondegree-seeking or auditing applicants must submit an application for admission, a résumé, and a nonrefundable $25 application fee if submitted online; $50 application fee if submitted in paper form.
Transient
Enrollment for transient students is on a space-available basis and has been established for individuals who, while enrolled in another college or university, would like to enroll for one quarter at SCAD. Transient applicants must submit an application for admission, a nonrefundable $25 application fee if submitted online ($50 application fee if submitted in paper form), a résumé and a letter of good standing from their college or university that indicates permission to take specific courses.
Readmission
Former SCAD students may re-enroll at SCAD within five years of their last quarter of attendance without having to reapply for admission unless they have earned a degree or have attended another college or university since leaving SCAD.
Alumni Application Fee Waiver
All graduates of the Savannah College of Art and Design may apply for admission to a graduate program at SCAD without paying an additional application fee.
Continued Enrollment from M.A. to M.F.A.
Currently enrolled students completing the Master of Arts degree program and wishing to continue with the Master of Fine Arts degree program in the same major the first quarter following completion of the M.A. (excluding summer quarter) should contact the office of graduate studies prior to the conclusion of M.A. studies and must be approved by the department chair of the area of study.
